Job: Assistant Service Manager - Technical

Contract: Permanent

Based: Strood, Kent

Hours: 45 hours a week

Salary: Circa £40K

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Service Manager - Technical based at our Strood depot.

The purpose of the role is to manage, oversee and monitor all aspects of administration work within the Service Department at Strood and to oversee the workshop employees, supporting the Workshop Manager.

You will also assist the Depot Manager in the management of the Strood Service Department.

Key responsibilities include

  • Provide technical support to the workshop and customers
  • Liaise with customers regarding enquiries, invoice queries and customer complaints
  • Monitor, analyse and implement corrective actions where necessary for:
    • Diversions (Saleable v non-productive hours) to ensure maximum utilisation of staff
    • MOT Statistics
    • DAFaid statistics
    • Quality checks to ensure DAF targets are met.
    • DAF KPIs
    • Health & Safety Reviews
  • Check and approve service department costs
  • Supplier Approval/sourcing, including undertaking Approved Supplier Questionnaires
  • Deputise for the Depot Manager as required
