We’re looking for a Technician to lead a shift team, manage workflow, and ensure high‑quality results under tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities include: -
- Work Allocation: Assign tasks to the most suitable Technician based on skills, experience, and availability.
- Team Oversight: Monitor progress, reallocate duties when necessary, and ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Customer & Manager Liaison: Communicate updates clearly and professionally, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Quality Control: Check and sign off completed work, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality systems.
- Administration: Complete all relevant paperwork and job cards accurately.
- Workshop Supervision: Oversee staff performance, monitor timekeeping and productivity, authorise overtime, and identify training needs.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance and expertise to both workshop staff and external customers.
- Technical Expertise: Carry out service, repair, road testing, and fault diagnosis of vehicles.
Essential Qualities include:-
- Ability to delegate, motivate, and drive results
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively
- Confident, professional manner with solid business awareness
- Strong ability to liaise with staff, Directors, and customers at all levels
- PC literate and comfortable with digital systems
