Parts Person - Ashford, Kent

Are you an experienced Parts Person with a passion for commercial vehicles and top-tier customer service? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable Parts Person to join our dynamic team at our Ashford depot.

As a key member of our Parts team, you’ll play a vital role in promoting, selling, and processing orders for commercial vehicle parts—both face-to-face and over the phone.

You will be working on a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6am - 4pm, 7am - 5pm, 8am - 6pm and 9am - 7pm plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process orders from technicians and customers efficiently and accurately
• Identify and supply parts, including sourcing non-franchise items and negotiating costs
• Handle deliveries, check advice notes, and manage invoicing and crediting
• Upsell by promoting related parts and advising on current offers
• Maintain stock control, pick parts, and support ad hoc deliveries
• Participate in the DAFaid Parts rota

What we are looking for?

Essential:

• Strong parts identification skills and previous experience in a parts department
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Confident communicator—both face-to-face and over the phone
• Computer literate with good internet and order processing knowledge
• Numerate with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Professional and confident manner

Desirable:

• Experience with Kerridge or other parts systems
• Background in commercial vehicle parts or motor factors
