
The Parts Department at Strood is delighted to be recognised by PACCAR Parts following the successful completion of the Dealer Optimisation Programme. This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The Dealer Optimisation Programme involved a detailed assessment of our parts storage and warehouse layout, with the objective of maximising capacity, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall workflow. A key focus of the programme was the strategic relocation of fast-moving parts, grouping them together to reduce picking times and improve day-to-day productivity.
In addition to layout improvements, the project included the replacement and upgrade of shelving and racking systems to ensure they are better suited to storing a diverse range of parts safely and efficiently. These enhancements have improved accessibility, organisation, and stock management across the department.
To further support these improvements, a significant investment was made in the installation of a new mezzanine floor. This has substantially increased storage capacity at the Strood site, allowing for improved stock availability while future-proofing the department to meet growing customer and business demands.
The successful completion of the programme is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and attention to detail shown by the Strood Parts team throughout the process.
