Direct Vision Standard (DVS) Safety

Get ready for the new legislation in March 2021

Do you know the direct vision star rating of your heavy goods vehicle (HGV) over 12 tonnes?

Once you know what your requirements are our experienced team can advise and quote you on several options that we can supply and install dependent on your budget and existing installations.

Enter the registration and it will show you the colour and model. This is where you can find all the information on required safety systems, evidence, etc.

At the very bottom you can start the application for the permit.

To confirm you will have needed to fit the following equipment.

1 - A sensor system with driver alerts

2 - An audible vehicle manoeuvring warning for left turns

3 - A fully operational camera monitoring system fitted to the nearside

During the application you will need to upload 2 photos per vehicle. They will need to include

1 - Number plate, class V mirror, class VI mirror,

2 - Number plate, warning signage, sideguards
