Job: Senior Service Administrator

Contract: Permanent

Based: Strood

Hours: 45 hours per week, 8.00 am - 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays where required

Channel Commercials PLC is a leading commercial vehicle dealer providing sales, parts and servicing for DAF Trucks, LDV light commercial vehicles and vans in the South-East.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Service Administrator to join our busy Service team at our Strood depot.

Key responsibilities include:-

  • Examining job sets to produce customer invoices with correct pricing of labour and parts
  • Liaising with workshop and parts staff to resolve internal queries
  • Following up final order numbers via phone, fax and email
  • Chasing aged Work In Progress
  • Inputting and invoicing of third party sublet repairs
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Ensuring team achieve monthly targets and agreed levels of Work In Progress
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with new and existing clients

Essential Qualities include:-

  • HGV Apprenticeship or City and Guilds qualification
  • HGV technical experience
  • Good IT skills including Word and Excel
  • Experience of dealing with customers both face to face and on the telephone
  • Team player
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
  • Strong planning, scheduling and follow-up skills
  • Ability to promote and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Excellent communication skills including written, face to face and telephone, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff including Directors and customers
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to deal with customers in difficult situations
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve monthly targets, with flexibility to ensure these are achieved
  • Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Negotiation skills
  • Able to motivate to achieve results
  • Business awareness

Desirable Qualities include:-

  • Experience of invoicing
  • Knowledge of Kerridge system
