New DAF XF Trucks

XF105 International Truck of the Year 2007 

Vehicle Specification:

• Choice of axle configurations with two three or four axles including a choice of tractor or rigid.
• Choice of either a 16 speed manual or the latest AS-Tronic automated transmission
• Air tanks and brake components positioned on the inside of the chassis allowing room for extra large fuel tanks (total tank capacity 1,500 litres)
• Hub reduction axle for more demanding applications.
• Low maintenance components reducing operating costs

Exterior: 

• Restyled pronounced lower grille extends to the bumper to channel more air, enhancing performance and features aluminium strip to signify compliance with Euro 4/5 exhaust emission standards
• Four large electrically adjustable heated mirrors offer a wider view for increased safety and are optionally available in body colour.
• Clear headlamps with virtually unbreakable Lexan protection, also available as Xenon.

Interior:

• Newly-designed thick rimmed, four spoke, steering wheel ensures a comfortable grip and includes optional airbag and integrated illuminated controls operating a variety of features including cruise control, telephone and down hill speed control
• Lowered position of engine tunnel allows excellent standing room in both Space & Super Space Cabs. Giving the XF105 the most spacious cab in its class.
• Back lit controls so they are visible at all times
• Fold away gear stick

Engine:

• New four and six cylinder PACAAR engine gives up to 20% higher torque & power output.
• High pressure common rail injection system and SCR after-treatment technology allow power ratings from 410 to 530pS all complying with Euro 5 emission standards without requiring a particular filter.
• New engine design allows longer service intervals starting from 90,000km, resulting in lower operating costs and maximum vehicle availability.
• High quality materials such as Compact Granite used for the cylinder block and cylinder head further improve reliability.
